GOOSBERRY

 Description:

 Biology:
An autoecious species infesting the underside of the terminal leaves of currant, especially black currant, from spring onwards. Black eggs are laid near buds in the autumn.

 Damage:
Affected leaves undergo severe curling and form bundles at the top of shoots; growth of shoots is then suddenly interrupted. The tips of these shoots ripen imperfectly.
