 Active principle: AZADIRACTINA A

 General schedule
The azadiractina is a substance extracted by the seeds of the tropical plant Azadirachta (tree of the Neem). This plant contains different substances endowed with a biological activity towards the bugs and of other organisms: azadiractina, salanina, nimbina and nimbidina. These substances (limonoidi) are found in all the parts of the plant but they result particularly assembled in the seeds. The azadiractina is the most active component.
Structurally the azadiractina is similar to the ecdisoni and it is constituted by a mixture of different isomers among which prevail the azadiractina A and the azadiractina B, infact they respectively represents the 83% and 16%.

 Applicatory aspects
EMPLOYMENT:
It is an insecticide that can be applied on actinidia, khaki, citrus fruit (orange tree, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin) apricot tree, peach tree, plum tree, cherry, strawberry, apple tree, olive, grapevine, leaf vegetables (lettuce, prickly lettuce, endive, spinaches, leaf and coast beet, parsley, basil), fruit vegetables (tomato, pepper, aubergine, cucumber, courgette, melon, watermelon) bulb vegetables (onion, leek), celery, fennel, carrot, cabbages (cauliflower, cabbage hood, savoy cabbage ) green bean, sugar beet, cotton, potato, tobacco, floral and ornamental, cultivated mushrooms, stored goods, mother plants for the production of seeds and other vegetative material of reproduction; employment in fertirrigation (strawberry, cucumber, aubergine, melon, pepper, tomato, floral), hatcheries of citrus fruit.
RANGE OF ACTION:
It is characterized by an ample range of action that include Homoptera Rhyncota(aleurodidi and aphids), Lepidoptera, Diptera (agromizidi and sciaridi),Coleoptera and others. It shows a collateral acaricide effect.

MODALITIES OF INTERVENTION:
It acts as a regulator of the development of the bugs in the pre - imaginal stadiums ; particularly it inhibits the formation of the Ecdisone, that is the principal hormone involved in the control of the molt. It produces besides a repellent action. It mainly acts for ingestion and it is endowed with a systemic properties (that are more accentuated when the product is absorbed through the roots). It is not effective eggs and adults.

FORMULATIONS:
Concentrated emulsion

MODALITIES OF USE:
Doses and modalities of employment are reported to products in concetrated emulsion with the 3% of p.a. (32 g/ls).
The product must be employed before or at the first appearance of the parasites. It is recommended to apply the product in the fresh and few bright hours of the day. The treatments, generally, must be repeated at the distance of 7-10 days one from the other, according to the crops and the biological cycle of the bugs. The doses of employment are the followings: 75-150 ml/hls; 750-1500 ml/has.

- Employment in fertirrigation (strawberry, cucumber, aubergine, melon, pepper, tomato, floral) against Aphids, Thrips, Aleurodidi. It is necessary to employ at the dose of 0,15-0,3 ml / mq (equal to 1,5-3 l/has).

USEFUL INFORMATIONS:
Given that it intervenes for ingestion, it guarantees the safeguard of good part of the useful entomofauna. However an effect through the cuticle or by the assumption of contaminated preys, cannot be excluded.
