| Active principle: AMPELOMYCES QUISQUALIS |
| General schedule |
Ampelomyces quisqualis is a fungine microorganism used for the biological control of the oidium. It is a mushroom commonly present in nature that lives at the expenses of all the oidiums belong to the family Erysiphacee. The microorganism can be preserved at environment temperature for at least 12 months and almost 2 years at inclusive temperatures among 4 and 8°C. |
| Applicatory aspects |
EMPLOYMENT: Biological fungicide destined to the control of the oidium of the grapevine, of the strawberry, of some vegetables (cucurbits and solanaceous plants) and of the rose. RANGE OF ACTION: the product acts well against various kinds of oidium. MODALITIES OF INTERVENTION: The spores send by the mushroom and distributes with the treatment, once at the contact with the guest's mycelium, paralyse the mycelium of the geminating oidium and give origin to a tube that penetrates inside. FORMULATIONS: hydrodispersive granules MODALITIES OF USE: The following formalities and doses of employment are reported to product in hydrodispersive granules with the 58% of active principle. On the grapevine the product is employed at the dose of 35-40 g/has, preferably mixed with a summer waxy oil at the 0,1-0,2% in volume. Given that the spores are activated only if they come to contact with the guest, it is fundamental to cover in the best way the cultivation. It is recommended to begin the treatment in the first hours of the day or at the evening, to assure an optimal level of damp so that to favor the germination and the installation of the mushroom on the vegetation. Once prepared, the suspension must be used within 12 hours. In case of rains superior at the 6 mms, it is recommended to repeat the treatment. The treatments with the product result effective with low levels of infection of oidium (<3% of attached leaf surface). In consideration that the oidium of the grapevine (Uncinula necator) it is always present on the plant, it is recommended to intervene, on the variety and in the areas that are subject to the infection, at preventive level. The product is employable during the whole arc of the season but the phases of the vegetative cycle in which the results are mostly showy are: - from the budding to the flowering; - from the closing cluster to the beginning of the maturation; - pre - vintage; - post - vintage. It is important to effect almost two consecutive treatments, at the distance of 7-10 days one from the other, to install a congruous number of spores of the antagonist on the cultivation. The applications in pre - vintage and post - vintage attach the cleistotecis of the oidium (the organs of wintering of the pathogenic); in this way the potential of oidium' s inoculate for the following year is reduced and the presence of the antagonist Ampelomyces quisqualis in the vineyard is increased. On the table grapes, the product can be applied above all before the flowering and in proximity of the harvest, at dosing from 35-50 g/has. In the vegetables (dose: 35-70 g/has) the interventions must be effected in preventive phase at the lowest doses and in curative phase at the highest doses. COMPATIBILITY: The product can be added with the most greater part of the parasiticides as insecticides (es. abamectina, azinfos - methyl, Bacillus thuringiensis, carbaryl, diazinone, dicofol, dimetoato, fenbutatin - oxide, imidacloprid, metomil, mineral oil, propargite), leaf fertilizers and fungicides (es. miclobutanil, triadimefon, triforine, benomil, iprodione, copper hydroxide 30%). It cannot be mixed with strobiruline, ditiocarbammati, clortalonil, sulphur and potassic soaps. When it is necessary to intervene with these active principles, spend 5 days before to apply the product. PHYTO-TOXICITY: It doesn't represent a phyto-toxic danger for the normal conditions of employment. USEFUL INFORMATIONS: The product can be used to integrate strategies of integrated struggle and it is also usable in biological agriculture. It reduces the risks of development of resistant stocks thanks to its innovative and original action, different from every other fungicide. It acts at lower temperatures of the sulphur (already to 12°C). It doesn't leave some residual on the grape, it doesn't interfere with the processes of wine-making and it doesn't alter the aromas of the wine, especially in the case of white grapes and / or particularly appreciated. It is harmless for the useful auxiliary agents, especially towards the antagonist phytoseidi of the tetranichidi mites.
